@svante: Det kanske inte är en hybrid du skall ha utan en cyclocross? Köper man inte den allraste lättaste sådan så kan man cykla både i skogen och på landsväg. Nackdelen är att det kräver en del skills att cykla någorlunda bekvämt i skogen på en sådan (eftersom de har stel framgaffel).
Baserat på din längd tror jag hur som helst att du skall ha en tjuniner (en 29") om du köper mtb. De rullar fint över allting och går lite snabbare på landsväg jämfört med en 26".

Hm, I suddenly realize recommending stuff would likely have been easier if you were American. Perhaps someone from Stockholm on Jaiku can help me out here? (rejaik, please)
The obvious place to go is Gamla Stan with its old buildings and narrow passageways which, despite being a definite tourist spot, I think is still worth visiting.
